Sinopse: Red Dead Redemption é um jogo de aventura desenvolvido pela Rockstar San Diego. Lançado em 18 de Maio de 2010 para as plataformas Playstation 3 e Xbox 360. Trata-se de um faroeste ambientado no começo do século XX e que narra a história de John Marston, ex-membro de uma perigosa quadrilha. A família de Marston é refém de agentes federais e ele não dispõe de opções a não ser iniciar uma busca implacável para capturar ou eliminar o antigo companheiro Bill Williamson meio aos vastos ambientes da fronteira entre EUA e México. O jogo utiliza os mesmos aspectos de jogabilidade e da aclamada série "Grand Theft Auto", também da Rockstar Games, oferecendo um amplo mundo aberto para exploração e com diversos elementos paralelos à trama principal. Red Dead Redemption também dispõe de modo multiplayer local e online. Também com sistemas de caça e de Scouting.
Da sua versão anterior (Red dead revolver) só herdou o nome "Red Dead" e a ambientação no oeste selvagem.
